About Me

Hi, I’m Joy Tenney. As my name suggests, I’m an upbeat and energetic lady. In 1996, at the age of 15, I was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy, an autoimmune disease that attacks the kidneys. Over time the disease damages the tiny filters in the kidneys leading to end stage kidney failure. I only have one kidney and it is now functioning at 18%. I hope to find a living donor to give me the gift of life. A kidney from a living donor will allow me to be a healthy, active women who loves animals, exercising, gardening, and making quilts.
